- Do you need to take a course for your job that is not offered as a regular CTD workshop?
- Would you like to attend training right from your own office or from home?
- CTD has several options available. For more information, click on one of the options below.
Online Self-paced workshops
Faculty and staff now have an opportunity to take workshops online for CT&D workshop credit. * Basic and Intermediate workshops will be offered in Microsoft college-supported applications , and other titles are available if you need to learn a program to assist you in your job. Participants can complete the workshops at their own pace and at their own desk, in the training labs, or at home. If you need a quieter place to work and would like to have someone around to help you if you get stuck, please come to the CTD training lab on your campus during open lab hours .
“These courses are well designed, presenting new material in a logical progression, which aids learning. The ‘try it your self' demos can be a bit querky and a bit too sensitive to mouse location. On those occasions I go to full demo mode and just observe.”

Welcome to the College Training and Development Web site. The purpose of CT&D is to prepare Miami-Dade College employees to develop the skills needed for current jobs, assist them in effectively responding to job changes and prepare them for future job requirements.
There are more than 7000 people in MDC's full and part-time workforce. They provide a rich variety of credit and non-credit programs and support services for MDC's 160,000+ students on six campuses, in numerous outreach centers and online. CT&D is committed to supporting the training and development needs of MDC's faculty, staff and administrators and providing training opportunities at work sites whenever feasible.
These pages will address these goals as well as provide resources for training and for integrating technology into the curriculum. You can send comments and suggestions to CT&D coordinators, trainers or staff through our Contact page.
