Florida Legislators Edward and Larcenia Bullard Commemorate Black History Month at MDC’s Wolfson Campus

Miami, Monday, March 03, 2008 - Florida Senator Larcenia Bullard and Representative Edward Bullard were honored Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Wolfson Campus Street Fair, culminating Black History Month at the campus.

Wolfson Campus President Dr. Rolando Montoya recognized the legislators for their commitment to education and ongoing support of Miami Dade College.

In February, all eight campuses of Miami Dade College (MDC) hosted an array of activities and events in celebration of Black History Month. The festivities will began on Feb. 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tribute to Black History Month founder Carter G. Woodson at the Medical Center Campus. The festivities wrapped up on February 27 with a grand finale Street Fair at the Wolfson Campus, which featured a dance performance by the Haitian Boukan Club, a musical performance by Sheba, The Mississippi Queen and the Soul Kings and various vendors.
