Temporary Instructor Training
Become a substitute teacher and start your day with purpose! Miami Dade College - School of Education offers the following course for Substitute Teacher Training:
EDG2311: Provides students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and dispositions to successfully serve as temporary instructors. The course provides best practices in classroom management and effective teaching strategies; and the Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct of the Education Profession in Florida. (1 hr. lecture).

Miami-Dade County Public Schools has partnered with Kelly Education to recruit and manage temporary Instructors. M-DCPS is no longer accepting applications for Temporary Instructors. Temporary Instructors are encouraged to apply directly with Kelly Education.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Elementary, K8 Centers, & Middle School: 18 years of age and a high school diploma
- Senior High School: 19 years of age and a high school diploma
