BIiography
Linda Alvarado Stermer is a music educator and vocalist from Miami Florida. She is on the Music faculty of Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus, where she teaches jazz voice lessons, and leads the vocal jazz ensemble and women's choir.
Ms. Alvarado Stermer is a graduate of the University of Miami where she earned a Master's in vocal jazz performance. Her undergraduate studies took her to Kalamazoo, MI where she earned a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies from Western Michigan University. Since the start of her career, Alvarado has shared the stage with vocalists Becca Stevens, Cyrille Aimee, Sara Gazarek, Kate McGarry, Peter Eldridge, the Real Group, and the New York Voices. She has also sung with recording artists Ben Folds, Nathan Pacheco and Jon Secada.
