Steps to Apply to MDC


Apply & Get Admitted

  • Start by completing the MDC admission application and paying the $30 non-refundable application fee. Returning students do not pay the application fee. Learn how to pay for your tuition and fees here. High school graduates who attended as dual enrollment students need to complete a new application. Get additional details if you're a veteran or international student. Make sure to select a major from our Academic Programs. Your admission to the college remains incomplete until all required official transcripts are submitted.

Create Your MyMDC Account

  • Your MyMDC Account is your online access to email, financial aid, scholarships awards, grades and other important information specific to your academic career at MDC.

Pay Less Tuition by Submitting Proof of Florida Residency

  • If you have been a Florida resident for at least 12 months, you may be eligible for in-state tuition. Proof of Florida Residency for Tuition Purposes is required. Your immigration status is a factor in determining whether you are eligible for an in-state fee reduction.

Send Test Scores


Send Official Transcripts

  • Applicants for admission must request final, official academic transcripts from all secondary (high school) and postsecondary (college/university); to show proof of high school graduation as well as any college or university attended. Domestic (U.S.) high school and/or college/university transcripts must be sent to Miami Dade College either electronically (by a third party) or by mail directly from the institution(s).

Apply for Financial Aid

  • You should apply for financial aid even if you think you don’t qualify.  There are many forms of support that you may be eligible for such as the American Dream Scholarship, which requires you to submit a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid application).

New Students: Attend New Student Orientation & Get Your Schedule

  • Check your MDC student email account for an email containing details about the orientation. This is where you'll get to know your assigned advisor, find out more about the campus, register for classes and meet other new students. You will leave orientation with your course schedule, including days, times, class locations, and essential information about outstanding payments and due dates.
  • Returning Students: Meet with an Academic Advisor

    • You will need to meet with an academic advisor to find out more about the campus, go over your transcript(s), and register for classes. You will leave your advisement session with your course schedule, including days, times, class locations, and essential information about outstanding payments and due dates.
