Carpentry Preapprenticeship Program
The Construction Pre-apprenticeship program prepares individuals to enter a short-term training program that leads to a rewarding career pathway. It combines college coursework, mentoring, and paid wages ($14-$15) per hour. Pre-Apprentices receive free tuition, Free books, and health insurance while on-the-job training. During classroom instruction, participants will learn OSHA safety, blueprint reading, tool usage and other trade skills for a job in construction. Upon program completion, apprentices will receive a nationally recognized Certificate of Completion, with the opportunity of earning an industry recognized credential.
The Carpentry Pre-apprenticeship program is a one-year program where an experienced journey worker will train you in health and safety protocols, introduce you to basic carpentry skills, an introduction to basic carpentry tools and their proper use, framing, and measuring up accurately. Upon completion you will receive a culmination of one or more industry recognized credentials.
