If you are applying to the School of Justice Basic Law Enforcement (BLE) Academy as self-sponsored, please note that the Physical Abilities Test (PAT) is the last step in your BLE application process (after completing our other assessments, such as psychological and CVSA testing).
STEP ONE – Download the PAT packet and complete all the required fillable fields on the form.
STEP TWO – Once you complete all the fillable fields on the form, please print the PAT packet.
STEP THREE – Call your doctor’s office to request an appointment and have him or her fill out the Physician’s Medical Consent form. This form can be found inside the PAT packet. Your doctor MUST include his or her license number and/or stamp the document so that we know they have given proper consent.
STEP FOUR – Email NAC@mdc.edu to request your appointment date along with your completed PAT packet.
STEP FIVE – Pay at the Bursar’s Office the day of your PAT appointment (30 minutes before).
If you are a sponsored candidate or need to complete your PAT for another agency, please be sure to include the name of the agency in your email request along with your completed PAT packet.
If testing for another law enforcement agency, it is the responsibility of the applicant to check that they accept the PAT from Miami Dade College.
