To provide focused review and practice of the basic elements necessary for effective writing of narrative reports by Criminal Justice Officers. This advanced course presents general guidelines designed to assist the Criminal Justice Officer in producing well-written professional reports. Areas include proper sentence structure, writing report narratives, using quotes, subject verb agreement, and gathering, recording and organizing notes. This training can be applied to salary incentive or mandatory training.

Instructor(s): James Martin is a state certified law enforcement instructor whose career spans 34 years. He served in the Air Force before working as a local police officer in New Hampshire. He became a federal law enforcement officer with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and was assigned to the fugitive unit for over ten years. He has worked in New York City, Boston, and Miami, retiring as the Deputy Field Office Director for the State of Florida. He holds a Criminal Justice degree from Saint Anselm College.
