Dual enrollment

Dual enrollment is a program that allows eligible students currently attending Miami-Dade County public schools, participating private and charter schools, or home school to simultaneously enroll in college course(s). The credits that students earn at MDC count toward high school graduation and can be applied to a college degree or certificate.

Fast Track Sharks

Fast Track Sharks is a unique program offered during the Summer B Term at Miami Dade College. Fast Track Sharks is designed to help incoming college freshman transition to college by providing a strong academic foundation, individualized advisement, and a supportive learning environment. Selected high school seniors are accepted into the program based on their completion of program eligibility requirements.

Graduates

Presidential Scholars

The Presidential Scholars Program offers scholarships to high school students based on academic achievement. The awards cover tuition and fees, plus a stipend for living expenses.

In addition, scholars will receive a range of customized services and opportunities including concierge care with assigned advisors and specialized support in areas such as program orientation, learning resources, career tracks, student life, community involvement, financial coaching, and more. Recipients will also have the opportunity to meet with the College President each term and join top industry leaders at roundtables and community events.

Rising Scholars

The Rising Scholars Program at MDC strives to give students an early start on their college education. The initiative aims to increase college going rates by providing academic experiences that equip students with the resources, skills and support necessary for academic success and completion. Students will receive free tuition for up to 30 credits plus fees per year, book stipend, laptop computer and scholarship opportunities. Participants will also be connected to short-term career-focused credentials that increase earning potential, internship opportunities, academic advisement and resume assistance.

Welcome Back Sharks Scholarship

The Welcome Back Sharks Scholarship offers financial resources to students who have not enrolled at Miami Dade College after high school graduation, during the past three semesters. The scholarship pays for the in-state tuition/fees.
